Singapore´s The Faith of Anna Waters



Boku Film Production (Singapore) is currently preparing for another good film that will hit the International films and this time in Hollywood, The Faith of Anna Waters. One of the recognized in film production company of the Media Development Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Film Commission as one of the Singapore’s leading production houses, Boku films have earned many credits and awards in film producing Internationally. 

The Faith of Anna Waters is being directed by Singapore´s film-maker - Kelvin Tong. Starred by two the Hollywood actors, Mad Men´s Elizabeth Rice and Matthew Settle (“Gossip Girl,” Band of Brothers”) in the lead roles. The Faith of Anna Waters is an English-language horror film will truly earn another honor for Kelvin Tong as the first Singapore film-maker with his own Hollywood-financed movie. Tong talked about that he is keyed up to know about Producers decision on how wide a release it will have after seeing the finished product.
The Faith of Anna Waters is about a Chicago-based reporter Jamie Waters (Rice) who travelled to Singapore to investigate the supernatural and sudden death of her sister Anna. Matthew Settle will play as Anna's ex-husband Sam, who will help her in solving the mystery of sister´s death. Other casts includes Singapore’sAdrian Pang and Jaymee Ong, and Australian actors Colin Borgonon and Adina Herz.
Part of this Singaporean horror movie, it is also filmed in a traditional decorated house highlighted with some wooden decorations, Persian rugs, vintage sofa and furniture (Locus Habitat) to make it more appealing and related to some scenes.
Together with Kelvin Tong´s brother, producer Leon Tong, Kelvin established their own production company in 2013, Boku Films, which allowed him to independently develop his film projects like The Maid (won the Asian Award at the 2006 European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation), Rule No.1, His first Asian production that won two Best Actor Awards at the 2008 Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival & Best Film Award at the 2009 Singapore International Film Festival’s inaugural Singapore Film Awards, It´s a Great, Great World (a historical epic about a legendary Singapore amusement park, the movie has earned more than S$2 million at the Singapore box office) and many more.
Kelvin Tong´s new film The Faith of Anna Waters will be in cinema on 2015 and truly indeed that will carry a further good pride as Singapore´s respected film maker.
