Although they do not often drive the design of a room, they can be a statement piece or at least a harmonious companion to the surrounding furniture. A good talk over a coffee or tea is better with nice and classy coffee table.

One guideline is that a coffee table should be about the same height or one or two inches lower than the seat height of the sofa. Traditional coffee table tends to be short and rectangular in dimensions. The width should be determined by how much room you have between the soft upholstered pieces and the table in your seating arrangement to at least align its width with your sofa. This allows the table to serve as a low table for coffee or tea or even to find a comfortable and cozy spot to share and enjoy a meal.
