Leather furniture is
a special kind of upholstered fabric compared to others. Aside from its
durability, material used and the comfort it gives, they also have some special
ways of cleaning them. But there are also some natural or organic ways of
cleaning your leather furniture
that you can find at home without buying the expensive ones.
This is another good
ways of saving your money and giving you a good benefit in cleaning your furniture
at the same time it is less effortless by using less harmful chemicals. You can
use spray bottles in some tips below and play around with the measurements
according to your needs.
Cream of Tartar & Lemon – you can mix in
balance with ¼ cup each the lemon and cream of tartar. Make a paste and rub is
slowly on stains in leather sofa. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes and wash it off
with dampened cloth.
Olive Oil, Vinegar & Lemon – you can mix these
three ingredients in a jar and shake it. Dampen a clean cloth in the mixture
and clean the entire piece of furniture. This can easily give your leather
couch a shiny and new clean look.
Water & Rubbing Alcohol – you can mix an equal
of parts rubbing alcohol and water in a small bowl. Dampen a clean cloth and
gently the area and wipe it off with another clean cloth dampened with water, and
then dry.
Water & White Vinegar – Mix both in spray
bottle with more water, although vinegar doesn’t smell after it dries and due
to its high acidity, it kills germs and bacteria. It’s also environmentally
friendly and very inexpensive.
Baking soda & Water - Baking soda also
makes a great a natural deodorizer–it absorbs smells instead of masking them. Mix
one cup of salt water (use ¾ cup tap water and 1.4 cup salt), two tablespoons
of baking soda, and one teaspoon of flour in a large bowl. This will brighten
and clean even the dirtiest leather couch.
